Moment Energy is a Canadian clean-technology company that has pioneered the "second-life" battery industry. Founded in 2020 by four Simon Fraser University engineering alumni, the company specializes in repurposing retired electric vehicle (EV) batteries into high-performance, affordable Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

By extending the life of EV batteries—which typically retain about 80% of their original capacity when retired from a car—Moment Energy provides a sustainable solution for the global lithium shortage and the growing mountain of battery waste.
